The Head and the Heart and Basia Bulat at the Bronson Centre

The Head and the Heart were recently at the Bronson Centre in Ottawa, along with Basia Bulat. It was my first time seeing either play live. In fact, I had only discovered the music of The Head and the Heart about a week or 2 before the show.

The Head and the Heart is a fold rock group from Seattle, Washington. Their live performance surprised me. I was not expecting the level of energy they deliver on stage. Their drummer led the way, frequently standing up as he pounded away on his drum kit. I will definitely be in the audience when they return.

Basia was impressive as well, playing a fun set. Though she was opening, she is no stranger to Ottawa audiences and received a great reception from the capacity crowd.
